1. Q: What does the acronyms P. A. C. T. ( PACT ) stand for?
A: Project Assist Citizens in Trouble

2. Q: What is the mission of the PACT Foundation?
A: To help prevent domestic violence and increase stalking aware-ness associated with victim protective orders and promote safe intervention education.

3. Q: What is the purpose of PACT?
  A:

4. Q: How big is the problem with the crime of stalking?
A: According to an unprecedented U.S. survey tracking the scope of stalking in January 2009, an estimated 3.4 million Americans indentified themselves as victims of stalking during a one-year span. Read the CBS NEWS report

5. Q: What percentage of all protective orders are violated by the assailant.
A: 80% of all protective orders are violated.

6. Q: How many women die each year nationally as a result of domestic violence?
A: Over 3,000 women die each year from domestic violence.

7. Q: Is suffering from anxiety due to being stalked a disability?
A: Yes. Consult your doctor and employer about FMLA.

8. Q: What are you proposing to do and how do you intend to do it?
A: Instead of waiting for someone to be hospitalized or murdered before you hear about a domestic violence incident or a protective order violation, PACT seeks to help prevent violent attacks on victims before they occur. PACT plans to produce local and national PSA's to introduce the PACT decal as the national standard to alert the public to the potential for attack and violence to the bearer, also educating bystanders how to safely intervene using 4 PACT steps.

9. Q: What do you suggest a bystander do to intervene safely when witnessing an attack?
A: To intervene safely we suggest a bystander do 4 things:
1. Call 911
2. Keep your distance
3. Create a distraction (sound horn, break glass or blow whistle)
4. Keep attacker in sight

10. Q: How can a person get a PACT decal kit?
A: Send a copy of your current victim protective order along with a signed copy of the Terms of Decal Service, and a $25 money order to PACT, PO Box 57077, Oklahoma City, OK 73157

11. Q: Exactly what is the PACT decal?
A: The PACT decal is diamond shape, blue in color with white capital letters P A C T horizontally and has 2 open eyes, one between the P & A, one between the C & T. PACT decals are warning signs for potential victims and increase visibility and work much the same way STOP signs and RAILROAD crossing signs warn motorists.

12. Q: Are there different types of PACT decals and where can they be displayed?
A: Yes, there are different types of PACT decals to be displayed in various ways. We have PACT home decals for your front & rear windows. We have PACT auto decals for your inside front & rear windshields. We have PACT badge decals for pedestrians using public transportation. PSA's about PACT decals will help eliminate repeating often embarrassing details to neighbors and to the public that the bearer is in constant potential danger.

13. Q: Will PACT decals have an expiration date?
A: Yes the PACT decals expiration date will coincide with the expiration date of each victims protective order (VPO).

14. Q: What is Project Assist Citizens in Trouble promoting besides PACT decals?
A: PACT promotes increased visibility for citizens in danger of potential attack. PACT promotes enriching care from employers to reduce their liabilities. Enriching care from co-workers, teachers/students, landlords & tenants. PACT promotes reserved PACT parking spaces closer to entrances of establishments, making it harder for would be offenders to get away with murder!

15. Q: How would a business owner benefit from providing PACT parking spaces?
A: Business owners would benefit from providing reserved PACT parking spaces for thousands of paranoid individuals experiencing anxiety from being stalked & having their lives threatened, by not staying inside their homes as much having pizza delivered every day, watching videos over & over, to become vibrant consumers.

16. Q: Is it a right or a privilege to display PACT decals?
A: It is a privilege to display PACT decals. PACT decals are not for people into playing games with protective orders. Everyone agrees criminals have too many rights. Victims should have the right to choose to be recognized & park closer to entrances instead of 100 ft. away from the door with small children.

17. Q: Should people depend on PACT decals to save their life?
A: No. PACT decals or PACT parking spaces alone will not save your life. Door locks alone on a car or a home won't stop car thieves and burglars. PACT decals are to provide increased visibility for the bearer and deter would be offenders from committing violations by promoting safe intervention from any & all witnesses. Always use common sense precautions at home, at work and away.

18. Q: What other agencies will work with PACT?
A: Agencies that will work with PACT and collaborate efforts are pending but fully anticipated from the numerous letters of recognition we have received. Law enforcement officers, firefighters and paramedics will gain an advantage by being forewarned when responding to PACT related emergency calls.

19. Q: Are there any corporations getting involved with PACT?
A: AAA Oklahoma has agreed to alert their emergency road service drivers to use their 2-way radios to contact proper authorities when they witness a PACT decal bearer in distress. Every utility, delivery & service oriented company using employee operated vehicles, in and around all cities and towns, is being asked to act responsibly and alert the proper authorities when witnessing situations of distress involving PACT decal bearers.

20. Q: How will you know if your concept works?
A: The number of individuals open to displaying PACT decals will create a database for follow-up contact. PACT will raise the necessary funds for operating. Public awareness will be increased and remain heightened. There will be a substantial decrease in the number of assaults and murders associated with VPO's.

21. Q: What are some of the challenging items requested on your wish list?
A: Challenging items requested on the PACT Foundation wish list other than funds: We need a self contained R.V. to serve as a PACT mobile. We need a cargo or passenger van. We need computer equipment. We need professional volunteers.
